Mala's diversity in anything creative comes naturally.  Raised in Melbourne Australia, her first interest in make-up and hair came while tuning into horror movies and reading Fangoria horror magazines.  After meeting a creative photographer and stylist she became involved in the Australia music industry creating countless looks in music video's and CD covers.  

Curious about the world, people and a constant need to challenge her skills she took a trip to NYC in 1997 and studied the art of special effects, prosthetics and animation puppetry for film and TV; she fell in love with the city.

After a 4 year period in London working as a hairstylist, she found herself back in NYC working at the Robert Kree Salon in the West Village.  After 5 years she was re-cruited by the Serge Normant Salon.  Now currently working independently as both a hair and makeup artist collaborating with a wide range of talented artists in the fashion and entertainment industry.
